BGB seizes crystal methamphetamine and yaba pills in Cox’s Bazar

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Sunday seized crystal methamphetamine and yaba pills worth Tk25.89 crore during a drive in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar.
Tipped off, a team of BGB-2 intercepted a boat in which three to four suspected smugglers from Myanmar were heading towards Jaliar Dwip around 5am, said Commander of Teknaf Battalion (BGB-2) Lt Col Sheikh Khalid Mohammad Iftekhar.
The smugglers, however, jumped into the Naf River and managed to escape.
Later, the BGB men seized over 4kg of crystal methamphetamine, 1,50,000 yaba pills and 25kg of current nets from the boat.
