BNP calls off today's Aminbazar rally

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) district unit in Dhaka has rescheduled its rally that was supposed to take place in Aminbazar today in order to emphasise their demand that the government resign.

 

They made the choice after law enforcement officials allegedly destroyed the rally stage.

According to a party leader, the party will decide on its next move following a meeting of the district BNP leaders in the afternoon.

Police refuted the claim that they destroyed the BNP rally stage, though.
