The topic of Kashmir was brought up by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his speech to world leaders at the high-level 78th session of the UN general assembly held here.
"The establishment of a just and lasting peace in Kashmir through dialogue and cooperation between India and Pakistan will be another development that will pave the way for regional peace, stability, and prosperity in South Asia," Erdogan stated in his speech to the General Debate on Tuesday. "As Turkiye, we will persist in endorsing the actions to be conducted in this regard," he declared. He made this remark a few weeks after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi during the G20 Summit, when the two leaders talked about fortifying their bilateral ties.
