In 2024, SSC exams are likely to start in February and HSC exams in June

Education boards have announced the likely dates for the SSC and HSC examinations for 2024, with the SSC examinations beginning in the second week of February and the HSC examinations commencing in the second week of June. 

Tapan Kumar Sarkar, president of the Inter education board coordination committee and chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, disclosed this information.

He stated that the relevant notice has been posted on the education board's website.

In 2023, HSC examinations will be based on a revised curriculum, while SSC examinations will be based on a comprehensive curriculum, Tapa Kumar added.

Due to the prolonged closure of educational institutions in 2020 as a result of the covid epidemic, the national school calendar has been modified.

The school closure caused a delay in the administration of public examinations, and in some cases, students were assessed through alternative means without taking exams.

Now, the SSC will occur on time beginning the following year, but the HSC will be held later than usual.

Traditionally, SSC would be held in February and HSC in April.
