Musician Ed Sheeran has great news for his fans just four months after the release of his sixth studio album "Subtract" in May. Sheeran announced on Thursday that he will release a new album called "Autumn Variations," which will be produced by Aaron Dessner.
On September 29, the record will be made available through his own Gingerbread Man Records. This news was made just one week after his "Mathematics World Tour"'s North American leg ended on September 23 at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles.
Explaining the inspiration behind the album, Sheeran shared, "Last autumn, I found that my friends and I were going through so many life changes. After the heat of the summer, everything either calmed, settled, fell apart, came to a head or imploded." He further expressed how writing songs had helped him navigate through difficult times and comprehend his emotions, and he applied the same approach to understand the challenges his friends were facing.
The album is expected to encapsulate the spectrum of emotions experienced during this transformative period, from the highs of love and new connections to the lows of heartbreak, depression, and confusion.
