Is Tom Cruise looking to rekindle his relationship with Sofia Vergara?

Tom Cruise, the leading man in Hollywood, reportedly wants to resume his relationship with ex-girlfriend Sofia Vergara after her divorce.

 

After their brief relationship ended in 2005, the Mission Impossible actor considers Vergara to be "the one that got away." Following Sofia's

recent split from her husband Joe Manganiello, Tom wants to win her heart back.

They had a blast together while having a party in the Hollywood Hills. They chose to part ways amicably and remained friends because Sofia wasn't indicating that she wanted anything committed at the time, a source told the Mirror.

Will Smith introduced Tom Cruise and Sofia Vergara at a glitzy pre-Oscars party in February 2005. Tom's bright smile enchanted Sofia, and they immediately hit it off. Their romance, however, was brief and ended soon after it began. One of the causes for the breakup was reportedly Sofia's reservations about Cruise's religious beliefs.

"Sophia knew she was being auditioned for the most important role of her life - Mrs. Tom Cruise. It was made clear that if she accepted the role, she would have to abandon her Catholic faith and convert to Scientology which she didn't want at all ," biographer Andrew Morton revealed.

Despite having moved on and found love elsewhere – Tom Cruise with Katie Holmes and Sofia Vergara with Joe Manganiello – it appears that both stars have held a flame for one other all these years. According to Cruise's friends, Sofia checks practically every box for him, and he regrets selecting Katie.

"Tom has long pondered the 'what if' scenario with Sofia. She has beauty, brains, and a great sense of humour - everything he looks for in a partner," an insider told a local news. 

As we wait to see what the future holds for Tom Cruise and Sofia Vergara, one thing is certain: Hollywood's leading man has not given up on love, and who knows, fate may bring these two back together.
