Ravindra Jadeja, an all-around player for the Chennai Super Kings, gave Mahendra Singh Dhoni credit for his team's fifth IPL championship.

After a protracted rain delay, Chennai had to chase a revised target of 171 runs from 15 overs. They endured considerable drama before Jadeja sealed their victory by scoring 10 runs off the final two deliveries.

"I want to dedicate this victory to MS Dhoni, a special member of the CSK team. The thrill of taking home my fifth championship is incredible. I'm from Gujarat, so it's a special feeling," he said of CSK's five-wicket victory over the Gujarat Titans in a rain-shortened match.

Chennai needed 13 runs from Mohit Sharma's final over after he gave up three runs in his first four pitches.

Jadeja hit Mohit over his head for a six and then added a boundary to complete a thrilling victory with 10 needed off the final two balls.

Jadeja explained his intent during the dramatic final over: "I was just trying to swing hard because every ball was important." I was attempting to swing forcefully and hit the ball straight because I knew anything could happen.

Jadeja also expressed his gratitude to the CSK supporters who had flocked to the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in large numbers to cheer on the visiting team. This group has been incredible. They waited until late at night for the rain to stop. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to the CSK supporters who came to show their support.
