The ongoing mild heat wave is likely to continue in different parts of the country, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin valid for 24 hours from 9am on Sunday.
A mild heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi, Rangpur and Sylhet divisions and the districts of Tangail, Jessore and Chuadanga and it may continue, said the bulletin.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places in Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, Rangpur and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places in Dhaka, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions, with moderately heavy falls at isolated places across the country, it added.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged.
The country's highest temperature on Saturday was recorded at 38 degrees Celsius in Saidpur, while the lowest temperature on Sunday was recorded at 25.1 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.
The highest rainfall in the 24 hours to 6am on Sunday was recorded at 163mm in Sylhet.
The sun will set at 6:48pm on Sunday and rise at 5:21am on Monday in the capital.
