10 injured in RMG workers and police clash in Savar

At least ten people were injured on Tuesday when ready-made garments (RMG) workers and law enforcement officers clashed in the Ashulia area of Savar upazila as the workers blocked the Baipail-Abdullahpur highway, police said .

According to the workers, the management of Fashion Forum Limited Garment declared the garment permanently closed after the workers went on strike and ceased working on Monday in response to a variety of demands.

The workers began to block the Baipail-Abdullahpur highway after last night's notice was posted on the gate, prompting police to intervene.

Officer-in-Charge of the Ashulia Police Station Kamruzzaman confirmed the situation and stated that additional officers have been deployed in front of the factory to prevent any untoward incidents.
