From Sara Ali Khan to Manushi Chhillar, Day 1 at Cannes 2023 was a Bollywood Fashion Extravaganza.

The first day of the Cannes Film Festival 2023 concluded with celebrities walking the red carpet looking their best. From Sara Ali Khan's magnificent lehenga by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla to Manushi Chhillar in a wedding gown by designer Fovari, it was undeniably a glorious affair. The festival runs from the 16th to the 27th of May and will undoubtedly provide stellar fashion moments in the coming days. As Day 1 comes to a close, we look back at some of Bollywood's best red carpet fashion moments.

Sara Ali Khan went for a desi look, wearing an embroidered Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla gown. The lehenga was elegant and charming, with delicate threadwork and tiny embellishments. In the same color palette, she wore a short-sleeved blouse with a plunging neckline and carried a heavy work dupatta pinned as a veil.

Manushi Chhillar was a vision in white. The actress looked phenomenal in a striking white gown from designer Fovari's wedding collection. The strapless corseted bodice came with a beautiful trail to follow.

In a Nicholas Jebran gown, Esha Gupta made her Cannes debut. The pastel flowy gown with a daring thigh-high slit, mesh neckline, and 3D floral embroidery was a sophisticated red carpet look. The simple gown was enhanced by glam makeup and a chic hairstyle.

Farhana Bodi, an Indian fashion influencer, wore a neon lime gown by Atelier Zuhra. The lemon feather gown was custom-made and came with a big bow and a 3-meter trail to follow. The strapless neckline was also embellished with fringe-like embellishments.

 

For the first day of the festival, Urvashi Rautela wore a pink tulle gown by Sima Couture. The strapless gown had an embellished pink bodice, a multi-layer ruffle skirt bottom, and a stunning tulle train.
