'Don 3' by Shah Rukh Khan is in the works.

According to producer Ritesh Sidhwani, the highly anticipated third installment of the action-thriller film series "Don" is currently in the works. The franchise, which stars superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role, has been a fan favorite since its initial release in 2006. SRK will reprise his lead role, and the film will be directed by Farhan Akhtar.

Excel Entertainment, Akhtar and Sidhwani's production company, had acquired the rights to the 1978 film of the same name, starring Amitabh Bachchan. In 2006, the film was remade with Shah Rukh and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles.
Akhtar's films "Don" and "Don 2" were released in 2006 and 2011, respectively. Sidhwani stated that they are waiting for Akhtar to finish the script before moving forward with the film, and that everyone is looking forward to the release of the third installment.
