Neena Gupta claims that she now wants to investigate South, romance, and action films. The seasoned performer expressed interest in collaborating with Mani Ratnam.

Neena Gupta says the demand for exciting roles never ceases and that she is in the best stage of her career. The actor wants to work in a South Indian film in addition to an action movie and a love story. Her dream director is Mani Ratnam, whose magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan: II, starring Vikram and Aishwarya Rai, was just released, according to HT.

Neena responded "many" when asked in a recent interview if there was any area of acting she still wished to explore. The seasoned actor continued by expressing a desire to appear in a horror film, a love story, and an action movie. Since they are "totally different," she continued, she would like to "do some south films."

I still want to do a lot of things, including action, romance, horror, and other genres. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be working with many people I never imagined I would. However, I would like to work on some south Indian movies, such as those directed by Mani Ratnam, because they are completely different and something I would love to do, Neena Gupta said in an interview with PTI.

The seasoned performer continued, "I have about eight projects, and every role is different. It differs from the work I previously did as a supporting actor. Now I'm the main character. There is an obligation to support the film's weight. This is incredible. Sometimes, whether it is a dream or reality, I find it hard to believe.

Neena has recently portrayed characters who were her age and offered much more than the typical mother roles. The actor also expressed her opinion that, as society advanced, so did the way women were portrayed on television and in movies. She claimed that because this was actually taking place, women were previously only perceived as being mothers, daughters, daughters-in-law, or aunts.
