With Selena Gomez, Zayn Malik is curious to "see where it goes."

The sighting of Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik out to dinner in New York City sparked rumors that the two were dating. People magazine claims witnesses saw the couple locking lips at the eatery.

 

Gomez's return to Malik's Instagram following comes just weeks after word spread on Twitter of the two reconnecting there. She's also one of only 18 people the "Pillowtalk" singer follows on Twitter.

According to US Weekly, sources close to the former One Direction member mentioned that Zayn has known Selena for years and is definitely "into her". It was also mentioned that "she's free to see other people, however Zayn would love to continue to see Selena and see where things go," implying that the couple isn't "super serious."

Malik hasn't been seen with anyone since he and ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid, with whom he has a daughter named Khai, broke up in 2021. "He's been working on himself for the past few years and believes he's ready to date again," the source continued.

"He's feeling optimistic about the possibility of things growing between him and Selena, but isn't putting any pressure on the situation. He'd rather just let things progress organically and believes she feels the same," concluded the source.
