A frank docu-film about the life of rapper and hip-hop artist Yo Yo Honey Singh is forthcoming on Netflix.

On his 40th birthday, the "Lungi Dance" singer announced that a Netflix documentary about his life will be released later this year. It will be produced by recent Oscar winner Guneet Monga and directed by Mozez Singh.

The filmmakers released a teaser that shows Honey rapping about his life and reflecting on how far he's come.

The documentary will take his fans through previously unseen and unheard chapters of his life, via raw and candid revelations that capture both his highs and lows. It will also include interviews with his family, friends, and music collaborators who have supported him.

Hirdesh Singh, better known as Honey Singh, made his rapping debut as a Punjabi in 2003. He was performing on Bollywood soundtracks and had hit songs like "Brown Rang," "Desi Kalakaar," and "Blue Eyes" by 2011. The musician rose quickly before leaving the entertainment business in 2015. In recent years, he has resumed singing and composition.
