Today's early morning sprinkle of rain in Dhaka should help with the excessive dust, but the Met Office forecast more rain or thundershowers with brief gusty winds in various parts of the nation.

A bulletin from the Bangladesh Meteorological Department warned that "Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind are likely to occur at one or two places over Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions" (BMD).

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies elsewhere over the country.
Day and night temperatures may fall slightly over the country.

Tetulia in the Panchagarh district recorded the nation's lowest temperature of 16 degrees C, while Rangamati district had the highest reading of 35.3 degrees C.

Meanwhile, trough of westerly low lies over India's West Bengal and adjoining areas. Over the south Bay, there is a seasonal low.
