The fans of "RRR" were not pleased with Jimmy Kimmel's hosting of the Oscars in 2023 because he referred to SS Rajamouli's directorial as a Bollywood film in his opening monologue. Fans were shocked when Jimmy Kimmel referred to the film as a Bollywood production, even though they were thrilled to see it honored at the 95th Academy Awards.

"Telugu film RRR is a product of South Indian cinema, or Tollywood. Not Bollywood, despite what some Oscars viewers may claim, "a user of social media tweeted.

"Definitely not a "Bollywood" song. To refer to Naatu Naatu as a Bollywood song is offensive. It's a song in Telugu "One more person tweeted.
