Dhaka Dominators were a no match for Sylhet Strikers who registered a five-wicket victory in the two sides' Bangladesh Premier League fixture in Chattogram on Monday.

The Mashrafe Bin Mortaza-led side remain unbeaten after five outings and maintain their position at the top of points table, while Dhaka suffered three defeats on the trot after winning their campaign opener.

Dhaka opted to bat but they could not quite get their innings going until skipper Nasir Hossain (39) and Ariful Haque (20) strung a 30-ball 50-run stand for the sixth-wicket. From reeling at 74 for five after the 14th over, Dhaka ended up at 128 for seven and gave themselves something to defend.

In reply, Sylhet approached the chase cautiously and a 52-run opening stand in eight overs from Pakistan's Mohammad Harris and Najmul Hossain Shanto laid the stable platform.

Despite a few hiccups in the middle, Sri Lanka's Thisara Perera's 11-ball 20-run unbeaten cameo at number six helped guide his side to victory with four balls to spare.
