‘RRR’ wins again, bags two Critics Choice Awards

SS Rajamouli's "RRR" has been on a hot streak, receiving multiple accolades on various major platforms. After winning the Golden Globe award for 'Best Original Song', the film captured gold in the 'Best Foreign Language Film' and 'Best Song' categories at the 28th Critics Choice Awards held in Los Angeles. 

The film's official Twitter account announced the news, sharing a video of MM Keeravaani's acceptance speech.

"RRR'' once again won the 'Best Song' award for "Naatu Naatu", which has now become an international phenomenon.

"Thank you so much, I am very overwhelmed with this award. I am here to receive this wonderful award from the critics. Thank you to all the critics, on behalf of my choreographer, lyrics writer, my singers, my programmers, and of course my director," said MM Keeravaani, the film's music composer. 

The film has already been nominated for a BAFTA Award in the category of 'Best Film Not in the English Language'. "RRR" has also made the Oscars shortlist for 'Best Music' (original song).

"RRR" is a fictitious story set in the 1920's that is based on the lives of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, two real heroes and well-known revolutionaries. During its theatrical run in India, the film grossed over Rs 1,000 crore.
