Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Jamaat Ameer, was arrested

According to his relatives and fellow party members, Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Shafiqur Rahman was taken away by DB police from his Uttara residence in the city early on Tuesday.
Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud, the Jamaat Dhaka City South secretary and a member of the party's central working committee, confirmed the incident via his facebook page.
Ameer Shafiqur Rahmanwas picked up around 4am. But reason behind his detention could not be known yet.
Sources said he was taken to DB office in Mintu road.
