Seven BNP lawmakers resign their seats

Seven BNP MPs have announced their resignation from parliament from the Golapbagh rally in the capital today, say media reports.

Bogura-6 MP Gulam Mohammad Siraj made the announcement first while addressing the rally.

Zahidur Rahman from Thakurgaon-3, Mosharof Hosen from Bogura-4, Aminul Islam from Chapainawabganj-2 and reserved seat MP Rumeen Farhana also made similar announcement.

It is also learnt that Harunur Rashid from Chapainawabganj-3 and Abdus Sattar Bhuiyan from Brahmanbaria-2 have also resigned from their positions.

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, earlier on October 30, announced that the party lawmakers are ready to resign from the parliament.
