Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first against India in the second match of the three-match series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in capital’s Mirpur on Wednesday.
The Tigers are currently leading the series 1-0 thanks to a sublime batting performance from Mehidy Hasan Miraz in the series opener on Sunday.
The win also took Bangladesh close to another ODI series win over India which they achieved when the neighbouring side last toured here back in 2015.
The Tigers won that series 2-1 courtesy of a brilliant bowling performance from debutant Mustafizur, who claimed 13 wickets in three matches including two match-winning fifers in the opening two matches.
The two teams played 37 matches so far between them with India winning 30. Bangladesh now won six matches while one match fetched no result.
