The government will no longer collect toll at the Postogola Bridge in the capital from July 1 as the tender has already expired.
The Roads and Highways Department informed the matter to the High Court, Deputy Attorney General Kazi Moinul Hassan confirmed on Wednesday.
“In a report submitted to the court, the department said that the toll for Padma Bridge will have to be paid on the Mawa Expressway,” he said.
He added that toll was being collected at the Postogola Bridge even though the tender has expired after which the state moved the court to put a stop to it.
