BTS' Jungkook will be performing live with Nora Fatehi, Shakira, and Dua Lipa for the opening ceremony of FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. The inaugural ceremony will kick off on November 20 and Jungkook has also been roped in to sing for the official FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Soundtrack.

BTS announced the news on its official Twitter account.

"Proud to announce that Jung Kook is part of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Soundtrack & will perform at the World Cup opening ceremony. Stay tuned!" the post read.

Now that the band is on a break following the announcement of Jin's military enlistment, many of BTS' band members are working on solo projects. In addition to Jin's solo tune with Coldplay, The Astronaut, and J-solo Hope's album Jack in the Box, RM recently revealed Indigo, his debut solo album.

Charlie Puth and Jungkook worked together on the song Left and Right a few months ago.

Trinidad Cardona, Diplo from the Black Eyed Peas, Kizz Daniel, Calvin Harris, and J Balvin are also expected to perform at the occasion.
