BNP talks to three political parties

On Wednesday, the major opposition BNP met with three political groups to consider staging a simultaneous uprising against the current Awami League administration.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir participated in the discussion with prominent figures from the Minority Janata Party, Bangladesh Nap, and Shamyobadi Dal on behalf of the BNP. The meeting began around 4 pm and ended gradually into the evening.

The meeting was held at the BNP chairperson's Gulshan office in the capital.

Minority Janata Party chairman Shukriti Kumar, Bangladesh NAP chairman MN Shawon Sadeki and Shamyobadi Dal General Secretary Syed Nurul Islam along with their teams of leaders were present in the series of meetings.

After the meeting, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir told reporters that in the meetings they agreed to wage simultebious movement to oust the incumbent government.

He alleged that the ruling Awami League had committed the 'fire terror' during the opposition's previous movement but blaming the BNP as the ruling party has become afraid after seeking the opposition's big divisional rallies.
