Bangladesh raises the age requirement for government jobs by 39 months

Due to the prolonged academic life brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic, the government has decided to raise the maximum age requirement for government employment from the current restriction of 30 years to 39 months.

A notice was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration (MoPA) in this regard on Thursday.

The applicants who have reached or exceeded the age of 30 from 25 March, 2020, to 30 June, 2023, will be eligible to benefit from this waiver, the notice said.

That does not, however, apply to jobs under the BCS, the notice added.
