Bangladeshi-born English footballer Hamza Chowdhury is just a step away from his debut for the men in red and green.

Hamza has already got a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Football Association (FA) and is just waiting for an approval from FIFA’s players’ status committee.

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) general secretary Emran Hossain Tushar said that the approval is likely to be given within one month.

“Hamza received his Bangladeshi passport. Now, the FA has issued an NOC and we’ve already submitted it to FIFA. The players’ status committee will give the approval,” he told the reporters on Tuesday.

“If everything goes well, we will get approval from the committee within a month and we can expect him to play for the national team in the November window,” the BFF GS further added.

Hamza, who plays for the English Premier League (EPL) outfit Leicester City, received his Bangladeshi passport in August.

Hamza’s mother Rafia Chowdhury collected the passport from the Bangladesh High Commission in London on behalf of him.
