Hollywood actor Clu Gulager, famous for his roles in "MacGyver" and the 1985 horror-comedy "The Return of the Living Dead", passed away due to natural causes at the age of 93.
Sean Baker, director of the 2015 comedy-drama "Tangerine", confirmed the news on his Twitter account. Clu Gulager's son, John Gulager, also paid homage to his father by sharing a picture of him on Facebook.
Clu Gulager had an illustrious career that spanned over seven decades. He began his career by doing small roles in 1950s television shows. He essayed the role of Billy the Kid on NBC's "The Tall Man" for two consecutive seasons and was a regular on "The Virginian"—for the first four seasons.
Gulager also made remarkable performances in popular TV shows such as "Murder", "She Wrote", "MacGyver", and "The Fall Guy", among others.
The noted actor experienced a career resurgence in the 1980s, for his performance in horror movies like "The Return of the Living Dead" and "A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge". Gulager's last performance was in Quentin Tarantino's 2019 film "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood", where he played a proprietor of a bookstore.
