4 Bangladeshi women umpires in ICC panel

Four Bangladeshi women umpires have been selected to work as the ICC panel umpires, while another one will be added to the panel of international match referees, confirmed Bangladesh Cricket Board’s umpires committee chairman Iftekhar Rahman Mithu.

 

‘The ICC has chosen four female umpires for its panel. They are Shathira Jakir Jesy, Mst Rokeya Sultana, Dolly Rani Sarkar, and Champa Chakma, with Supriya Rani Das joining the ICC’s match referee list,’ stated Iftekhar.

‘It brings us great joy. It demonstrates that our women are making progress in this field as well,’ he added.
