Beximco Dhaka and Minister Group Rajshahi have faced in the first match of Bangabandhu T20 Cup. After losing the toss in the opening match of the tournament, Minister Group Rajshahi scored 169 runs.

Captain Nazmul Hossain Shant and young Anisul Emon started the innings for Rajshahi at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. Emon played comfortably but took time to find a calm rhythm. However, he hit two sixes and returned to the dressing room before appearing terribly in front of the opponent with 16 runs off 17 balls.

Shortly after Shantar's departure, Rajshahi lost Roni Talukder 6 off 8 balls, Mohammad Ashraful 5 off 9 balls and Fazle Mahmud Rabbi the first ball. Anisul could not make the potential innings big.

The batsman, who hit 5 fours and 1 six, returned to the dressing room with 35 runs off 23 balls. Nurul Hasan Sohan and Mehedi Hasan took charge of the disaster when the team was under great pressure after losing 5 wickets for 65 runs in the bowling cannon of Muktar Ali.

In the sixth wicket, the duo put up a dazzling partnership of 89 runs. The pair broke up with Sohan's farewell. Before that he made 39 runs off 20 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes. After Sohan's departure, Mehedi also returned to the toilet. But before that he completed half a century. Mehdi, who scored 50 off 32 balls, hit three fours and four sixes.

In the end, Rajshahi lost 9 wickets in 20 overs and scored 169 runs. Farhad Reza remained unbeaten on 11 off 7 balls. Muktar Ali took three wickets alone.
