Bollywood producer Shyam Benegal is planning to make the biopic on the biography of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Work on the scene was set to begin last April. But it could not be started because of coronavirus. This time it was known that Benegal wants to prepare his team for the shooting.

It is learned that the artists have also been asked to prepare for this. Everyone is reluctant to open their mouths about the shooting. However, reliable sources say that the shooting is going to start from November. Because the goal is to complete the biopic within the next four months.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Information Dr. Hasan Mahmud said, there is not much time. The work of the film will be completed by March of the New Year.

After the meeting of Vikram Kumar Doraiswami, the new High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh, with him (Shyam Benegal) yesterday (October 13), the Information Minister said that the work to be done on the film about Bangabandhu will be completed within the Mujib (March 17, 2020-16, March 2021). Bangladeshi and Indian filmmakers are taking care of the matter.

The initial name of this film is 'Bangabandhu'. This will bring up the brutal tragedy of the assassination of Bangabandhu in 1975 from the rise of Bangladesh. The story of Bangladesh's independence from youth and later Mujib.


Dayal Nihalani is working as the assistant director with Shyam Benegal in making the biopic. Screenplay by Atul Tiwari and Shama Zaidi.
