AL candidate wins Naogaon-6 by huge margin

Awami League candidate Anwar Hossain Helal has won the Naogaon-6 by-election by a huge margin. Anwar Hossain Helal got 105,667 for the boat symbol. His nearest rival BNP candidate Sheikh Rezaul Islam Reju got 4,517 votes.

Earlier, the Naogaon-6 by-election ended peacefully at around 5 pm on Saturday. This is the first time that voting has started from 9 am through EVM and continues till 5 pm. 36.4 percent voters have exercised their franchise.

On the other hand, BNP nominee Sheikh Rezaul Islam Reza withdrew from the election, calling it a farce, a rigged election, and a pre-imagined election.
