Dhaka-5, Naogaon-6 by-polls: Vote ends, counting underway

Voting for the by-elections in Dhaka-5 and Naonga-6 constituencies has ended at 5 pm. Now the counting of votes is going on in the centers.

Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) voting is done in both the constituencies.

Kazi Monirul Islam of Awami League, Salah Uddin Ahmed of BNP, Mir Abdus Sabur of Jatiya Party, Arifur Rahman of National People's Party and Anshar Rahman Sikder of Bangladesh Congress are contesting in the by-election of Dhaka-5 constituency which became vacant due to the death of Habibur Rahman Mollah.

On the other hand, Awami League's Anwar Hossain Helal, BNP's Sheikh Rezaul Islam Reju and National People's Party's Intekhab Alam Rubel are contesting in the by-election of Naogaon-6 constituency which was declared vacant due to the death of Israfil Alam.
