Covid claims 6 more dies and 635 cases in Bangladesh

Bangladesh confirmed 6 more death, and another 635 people diagnosed with coronavirus in the last 24 hours across the country.

With this, the death toll increased to 8,441 and a total of 549,184 people have been identified as infected with coronavirus in this epidemic in the country.

This information was given in the press release signed by the Additional Director General (Administration) of the Department of Health, Prof Nasima Sultana on Friday (March 5).

Some 13,710 specimens were tested in the timeline at 219 labs across the country. Bangladesh had tested a total of 4,119,031 specimens as of March 5. 

Bangladesh on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
