A passenger with 160 gold bars has been detained at Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport (SAIA).

Chattogram Airport Customs authorities and members of NSI arrested him along with a gold bar on Thursday.

Earlier on Thursday (October 1), 82 gold bars were recovered from Shah Amanat International Airport after searching the body of a passenger returning to Dubai. The price of the 24-carat gold weighing 9 kg 59 grams was about Tk 5 crore 74 lakh. The passenger named Mohammad Enamul Haque came to Chattogram on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines BG-148 flight.
