Microbus jumped into river while boarding on ferry

A microbus lost control and fell into the river while boarding a ferry at Paturia Ghat on the Paturia-Daulatdia route.
The incident took place at Paturia No. 5 ferry terminal this (Thursday) morning. Mujibur Rahman, station officer of Aricha Kam Nadi Fire Station, confirmed the information.
Mujibur Rahman said a high-speed microbus bound for Rajbari fell into the river while boarding a ferry in the morning. Upon receiving the news, two units of the fire service worked. All the 5 passengers on board were rescued. The car is being rescued with a wrecker.
Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BIWTC) Aricha DGM Md. Zillur Rahman said vehicles and passengers are being crossed by 14 out of 16 ferries on the Paturia-Daulatdia route. Two ferry factories named Dhaka and Birshreshtha Hamidur Rahman are floating in Madhumati for repair work. Ferry traffic is being disrupted due to thick fog. About 200 vehicles are waiting to board the ferry at Paturia Ghat area.
