Expatriate Bangladeshi Farah Ahmed has been nominated as the Chief of Staff in the Office of the Under Secretary of Rural Development under the US Department of Agriculture. The news came from a press release issued by the US Department of Agriculture last Thursday.
Farah Ahmed previously served as Senior Program Coordinator in the Consumer Education Office and Senior Advisor to the Chief Operating Officer of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
Farah Ahmed, a graduate of Cornell University and a postgraduate from Princeton University, is the program manager for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Rural Business-Cooperative Services Community and Economic Development team and senior policy analyst at the American Progress Center.
Her father’s name is Dr. Matlub Ahmed and mother. Ferdous Ahmed, both work as professors at a university in the United States.
