Rains in next 24 hours across the country

Brace for more showers in the next 24 hours, as the weather department has predicted light to moderate rains across the country.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal and Chittagong divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the southern part of the country,” the Met office said on Wednesday.
Day and night temperatures may fall slightly over the country.
The well-marked low over coastal Odisha and adjoining Northwest Bay moved westwards and intensified into a depression first and then weakened into a well-marked low hovering over Chhattisgarh and adjoining areas of India.
It is likely to move north-westwards further and weaken gradually, according to the weather bulletin.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, the centre of the well-marked low, Odisha, and Gangetic West Bengal to Assam across central parts of Bangladesh.One of its associated troughs extends up to the Northwest Bay. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and strong elsewhere over the North Bay.
