Fire breaks out in jute warehouse in Gazipur brought under control

A fire that broke out in a jute warehouse in Gazipur’s Konabari early on Wednesday morning has been brought under control.
Five fire fighting units brought the blaze under control around 10am, Gazipur DBL Fire Service Officer Miraj Isalm confirmed.
The blaze originated at the Hamim Khan Jute warehouse around 4:45am. The fire spread to three more warehouses and burned them down.
No casualties have been reported, the fire service official said, adding that a probe has been ordered to ascertain the exact cause of the fire and the extent of damage.
