Mahmud Hasan Ripon MP, the newly elected Member of Parliament of Gaibandha-5 Constituency, paid his respects at the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Mahmud Hasan Ripon MP on Saturday (January 14, 2023) paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj by placing wreaths. Later he prayed and participated in supplication. Saghata Upazila Awami League President Ad SM Samshil Arefin Titu, Phulchhari Upazila Awami League President GM Salim Parvez, Vice President Ad Nurul Amin, former Vice President of Gaibandha District Awami League Anwarul Islam were present at this time.

It should be noted that in the by-election held on January 4, 2023, Bangladesh Awami League nominated boat marker candidate Mahmud Hasan Ripon, former president of Bangladesh Chhatra League, won with huge votes. 

He played a leading role as the president of Bangladesh Chhatra League in the movement for the release of 1/11 leader Sheikh Hasina.
