Ex-minister Taj, AL Organising Secretary, retired Ctg Port Chairman detained

Former State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Captain (Retd.) AB Tajul Islam, recently retired Chairman of Chittagong Port Rear Admiral Mohammad Sohail, and Awami League Organising Secretary Ahmad Hossain have been detained by the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB).

They were detained on Tuesday night (20 August).

According to a source from the DB, Tajul was detained from Gulshan in the capital, Sohail from Banani, and Ahmad Hossain from Banasree. Later, they were taken to the DB office.

However, it is not yet clear under which case they will be officially arrested.
